The City of Amity is currently engaged in a number of exciting projects. The list below provides a brief overview of what's going on in the city. Please continue reading for additional details.

Reservoir and Goucher Street Waterline Replacement
The City of Amity received two million dollars of Coronavirus State Fiscal Recovery Funds (CSFRF) to update essential infrastructure in our water system. The City is using those funds to replace waterlines from Rice Lane to the Reservoir and along Goucher Street with new larger waterlines. City Engineers are currently finalizing the project's design and then requesting bids for the construction of this work. The anticipated completion date is December of 2024. Expect to see significant construction work occurring during the late summer of 2024.
Comprehensive Plan Update
The City of Amity received sixty-three thousand dollars ($63,000) from the Oregon Department of Land Conservation and Development (DLCD) to hire a consultant and work through the periodic review process to update our Comprehensive Plan. This project is open to proposals until March 22nd, 2024. To update the City's Comprehensive Plan, we'll be looking for community input on what kind of community Amity wants to be over the next 20 years. During this coming summer (June through August of 2024), the City of Amity is planning to complete slurry seals on many of its aging roads. Slurry seals will refresh and preserve the asphalt surface and extend the life of the road by 7-15 years. Rice Lane Sidewalks
The City of Amity received a Small Cities Allotment (SCA) grant from the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) to install sidewalks along Rice Lane in front of the Amity Elementary School. Construction will be completed over the summer.
